Summary:

Essential Job Functions:

• Correlates the analysis of invasive and noninvasive tests to recognize need for additional intervention and reports pertinent findings to Physician.

• Performs hemodynamic and control room duties maintaining a working knowledge of equipment.

• Prepares the Cardiac Cath Lab for procedures according to standard operating procedures, i.e., proper supplies, equipment set-up, etc.

• Prepares, assists and completes tasks during Cardiovascular procedures as directed and supervised by the Physician.

• Practices radiation safety in order to protect both staff members and the patient.

• Performs and monitors patient's stress tests.

• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Certifications

• ND Medical Imaging License | North Dakota Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board | Within 18 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources

• Cardiovascular Technologist - Registered | Cardiovascular Credentialing International | Within 24 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) | American Heart Association | Within 90 Days of Start Date | HR Primary Sources

Notes

• Must meet requirements that align with conditional license of North Dakota Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board.

• Employees must obtain certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS or RCES) within two years of hire; those following the Registered Radiology Technologist pathway must hold active registration with ARRT.

• Employee will receive a pay increase once they become a certified Registered Cardiovascular Technologist ($35.49 - $53.23 USD Hourly)

Additional Discipline Requirements:

• Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Surgical Technologist: Must adhere to state licensing guidelines and be eligible to qualify for the RCIS/RCES exam within 24 months of the start date.

Language Requirements:

This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.

• Professional Drivers: Persons who drive as their main responsibility OR transport passengers or hazardous materials.
• Frequent Drivers: Persons whose main responsibility is not driving, but drive daily or almost daily.
• Occasional Drivers: Persons who drive from once per month to as frequently as once per week.
• Infrequent Drivers: Persons who are generally not expected to drive.
