About the Role

The Senior Loan Officer, Sales Lead is a hands on producer who will own revenue across both of our product lines, crypto mortgages and crypto backed loans. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll spend most of your time originating and closing loans yourself. As volume grows, you’ll grow into leading Milo’s sales team of AI agents and humans. Milo will invest in you, covering additional state licenses and ongoing training. You’ll work closely with Loan Operations, Servicing, Marketing, Engineering and Compliance to give a niche, high net worth market a best in class experience. We’re an AI first team, and we want a leader who uses tools like Claude every day to move faster, serve more clients and build a sales function that scales with technology, not just headcount. A deep understanding of cryptocurrency is a must!

Your Mission

• Originate and close your own pipeline of crypto mortgages and crypto backed loans, from first call through funding
• Recommend the right solution for each borrower, whether a mortgage, a crypto loan or both, and clearly explain the tradeoffs and Milo’s value to clients who don’t know us yet
• Work alongside our AI agents every day, and over time help shape what agents handle, where people add the most value, and how the two work together
• As the team grows, help hire and onboard new loan officers and share what’s working
• Build and improve AI agents for lead follow up, borrower questions, document collection and pipeline updates
• Own the funnel by working every inbound lead fast, tracking each loan from lead to application, lock and funding, and reporting weekly to the CEO
• Hit monthly and quarterly origination goals set with the CEO
• Structure loan scenarios and pricing, and present clear credit narratives on complex files
• Deliver complete, underwriting ready files to Loan Operations and keep the pipeline moving toward closing
• Partner with Servicing to support borrowers after closing
• Build referral partnerships with crypto platforms, wealth managers, CPAs and real estate agents
• Work with Engineering and Loan Operations to keep improving the borrower experience
• Be a credible public voice for Milo, and share borrower stories, competitive intel and market feedback with Marketing
• Follow Milo’s state licensing map and Sales Compliance policy on every file
• Use AI tools like Claude across the sales process, from lead research and borrower follow up to file review, pipeline reporting and content
• Find manual work on the team and automate it, then roll out new tools and workflows and coach the team to use them
• Stay on top of new AI and fintech tools, test what’s worth adopting, and share what works with the rest of Milo

About You

• 5+ years of residential mortgage origination as a licensed loan officer
• A track record of $25M+ in personal annual funded volume
• Experience with jumbo and non agency lending
• Comfortable reviewing a file yourself, including income, assets, entity structures and condo reviews
• Fluent in crypto, and able to explain crypto backed lending clearly to a high net worth borrower
• Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, ECOA, BSA/AML and OFAC requirements
• Experience with Encompass as your LOS and a CRM, and you run your pipeline from data
• Comfortable with outbound prospecting and direct to consumer internet leads
• Engage clients on their timetable, including occasional evenings and weekends

• Hands on with AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT, and able to show how you’ve used them to save time or close more business
• Tech savvy and quick to learn new systems, comfortable in a paperless, data driven environment
• Ambitious to grow from top producer into a sales leader at a fast growing company

Licensing Requirements

• An active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator license in Florida is required
• Willing to get licensed in Milo’s other lending states, with licensing fees and study time covered by Milo. Our states are Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Maine, New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas
• A clean NMLS record, and able to pass state background, credit and fingerprint checks
• Current on SAFE Act continuing education
• Already licensed in any of these states is a strong plus

Bonus Points for

• Experience at a fintech or crypto lender, or some experience mentoring or leading other loan officers
• An established referral network in crypto, wealth management or luxury real estate
• Understanding of foreign national borrowers
• Multilingual (English, Spanish and Portuguese) a plus
• A personal brand on X or LinkedIn
• Experience building AI agents, automations or prompts for a sales or lending team
