Why You’ll Love It Here

Our PCU is led by a highly engaged and supportive Director who is deeply committed to creating an environment where both patients and nurses can thrive. She is passionate about strengthening the department, supporting her team, and continually identifying opportunities to enhance the patient experience and nursing practice. Nurses joining the PCU can expect a leader who values collaboration, encourages professional growth, listens to her team, and is genuinely invested in building a strong, positive culture

Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and provide high-quality care to patients who require closer monitoring and a higher level of nursing support than a traditional medical/surgical unit. PCU nurses care for a diverse patient population, including individuals with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and complex medical conditions.

In this role, you will monitor patient conditions, administer medications and treatments, collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team, and respond to changes in patient status. The PCU is a great fit for nurses who enjoy a fast-paced environment, higher-acuity patients, and the opportunity to strengthen critical-care skills while building meaningful relationships with patients and families.

What You'll Do:

Provide direct nursing care to intermediate and higher-acuity patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition
Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
Educate and support patients and families throughout hospitalization
Maintain accurate documentation and promote safe, patient-centered care

Ideal Candidate:
A compassionate, dependable RN who thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and is comfortable caring for patients whose conditions may change quickly.
