SUMMARY

Connecticut Children’s is actively seeking a Pediatric Electrophysiologist to join our growing Division of Pediatric Cardiology.  The ideal candidate should be board certified in Pediatric Cardiology, have completed advanced fellowship training in pediatric electrophysiology, and have post-fellowship electrophysiology experience treating patients from infancy through adulthood.  The successful candidate will serve as one of two attending cardiac electrophysiologists supported by an inpatient physician assistant (PA), an experienced EP lab technician, and two outpatient nurses trained to perform pacemaker/ICD interrogations.

Academic rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.  Participation in house staff and fellow education as well as clinical, translational, and/or quality/performance improvement research will be expected. Additional clinical duties will include interventional EP procedures, outpatient electrophysiology/pacemaker clinic, remote pacemaker/ICD interpretation, and interpretation of Holter/cardiac event monitors.  Inpatient and outpatient general cardiology duties can be considered with interest and experience.

Connecticut Children’s is the only health system in Connecticut that is primarily dedicated to children. Established on a legacy that spans more than 100 years, Connecticut Children’s offers personalized medical care in more than 30 pediatric specialties across Connecticut and in two other states. CT Children’s is home to the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program and also provides training for medical students, residents, and fellows in maternal-fetal medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, and emergency medicine.

The Division of Cardiology is comprised of 14 cardiologists and 4 advanced practitioners. The cardiothoracic surgery team is directed by Dr. Dennis Mello. The practice features a state-of-the-art hybrid catheterization lab that routinely performs a full range of transcatheter procedures supported by our exceptional advanced imaging services with approximately 10,000 echocardiograms performed annually. We project 80-100 cardiac electrophysiology cases in 2026 with additional procedures performed on adult congenital patients at Hartford Hospital.

CT Children’s is the state's first accredited comprehensive care center for adults with congenital heart disease, as well as a world-class Fetal Care Center and pioneering fetal cardiology program. At CT Children’s, there are 12,000 outpatient pediatric cardiology visits per year and 1,300 outpatient adult congenital cardiology visits. Our team delivers cutting-edge care for cardio-oncology patients and is proud to be the first center in New England accredited by the International Cardio-Oncology Society.

A new eight-story medical tower opened in December 2025 and includes a new 50-bed NICU, a 14-bed Acuity-Adaptable Unit, a Fetal Care Center with 6 labor and delivery rooms and 2 dedicated operating rooms, an Advanced Cellular Gene Therapy Unit, an expanded pharmacy, and other clinical spaces and services. Our transformational growth establishes us as a destination for specialized medicine and enables us to reach more children in locations closer to home. Our breakthrough research in collaboration with the University of Connecticut and Jackson Laboratories, superior education and training, and innovative community partnerships provide a welcoming and inspiring environment for our patients, families, and team members.

Our team of pediatric cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons at CT Children’s is dedicated to high-quality patient care delivery. The group strongly values collaboration and communication, forming a positive, patient-focused work environment. At Connecticut Children’s, treating children isn’t just our job—it’s our passion.
