Role Overview
Registered Nurse - Float Unit - ICU / TCU
Part Time (24 hours/week) w/every 3rd weekend - Midnight Shift
Sign-on Bonus Eligible
As a Registered Nurse at Genesys Hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring that each patient receives individualized, high-quality treatment. What You Will Do
- Coordinate the development of a multidisciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay, resource utilization, and quality outcomes.
- Provide patient education and support, addressing fears and anxiety through effective communication and teaching.
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures such as dressing changes and blood glucose monitoring.
- Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognizing and responding to acute changes in condition.
- Collaborate with case managers to ensure seamless discharge planning and appropriate follow-up care.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months of hire date.
- Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months of hire date.
- Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in acute care or a related clinical setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
