The 216-bed acute care hospital, combined with a 24-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility and a 14-bed Freestanding Emergency Center, serves as a major destination for both community and complex care across the Phoenix metropolitan area. Together, the campus provides a comprehensive range of specialty services including:

• Level I Trauma Care
• Interventional Stroke Services
• Cardiac Receiving Center
• Advanced Cardiovascular Care - including the launch of an open-heart program 
• Neurosurgery, Spine and Orthopedic Programs
• Women's and infant services 
• Inpatient Rehabilitation

The Opportunity

The Chief Financial Officer leads financial strategy, planning, and performance management for the facility, including risk identification, mitigation, and communication of financial risks and opportunities. The CFO is responsible for revenue cycle operations, safeguarding facility assets, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. This role oversees compliance with financial policies, the effectiveness of internal controls, and overall financial governance.

As a key member of the facility leadership team, the CFO partners with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute strategic and financial plans, while fostering a culture of engagement and accountability, maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies, developing future financial leaders and driving growth to support the communities Abrazo West serves.

The Ideal Candidate

We seek a CFO who can be a transformational leader, driving continued growth and committed to delivering results.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience; Healthcare/hospital experience is required
• Strong background in financial operations, revenue cycle, planning, reimbursement, and capital management
• Demonstrated success improving financial performance in complex environments
• Experience with managed care contracting and regulatory compliance
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
• Collaborative leadership style with ability to influence across functions
• High integrity, sound judgment, and strong communication skills
• Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required (or Business degree with Accounting/Finance focus or a CPA);  MBA, MHA, and/or CPA strongly preferred
