JOB DESCRIPTION
Laboratory Aide 2
Hourly Pay Rate: $12.00 - $20.00
The Laboratory Aide 2 will support the department/organization in various administrative and research tasks. The Laboratory Aide 2 works within a laboratory and assists with the department’s tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining, cleaning, and storing lab equipment
- Preparing solutions and samples for research purposes
- Assisting with safety paperwork
- Cleaning the laboratory
- Receiving packages
- Processing lab findings and data entry
- Compiling instrument usage records
- Interacting with researchers, test subjects, and/or patients
- Assisting with administrative day-to-day tasks
Qualifications:
- Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
- A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
- Prior or active enrollment in a particular class or course of study (potentially)
- Relative, prior experience working in a laboratory (potentially)
- Another laboratory position (potentially)
