JOB DESCRIPTION
Technical Aide
Hourly Pay Rate: $10.00 - $20.00
The Technical Aide will support the department/organization in various administrative and research tasks. The Technical Aide may work within a laboratory and assists with the department’s tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining, cleaning, and storing lab/facility equipment
- Stocking materials and equipment
- Preparing solutions and samples
- Assisting faculty and students with facility equipment
- Cleaning the laboratory/facility and ensuring proper safety etiquette
- Shipping and receiving packages
- Compiling instrument usage records
- Interacting with researchers, test subjects, students, and faculty
- Answering facility/lab communications
- Assisting with administrative day-to-day tasks
- Being knowledgeable of facility/department software, programs, and equipment
Qualifications:
- Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
- A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
- Prior or active enrollment in a particular class or course of study (potentially)
- Prior, relative experience with or working knowledge of relative software, programs, and equipment
