Technical Services Student Assistant 

Duties of the Position 

 Assists with library projects and departmental tasks, including online database maintenance projects, searching for and/or pulling materials, working with spreadsheets, moving equipment, books, book carts, or boxes, and special projects.  

This position reports to the Director of Technical Services and does not offer evening or weekend hours. 

Skills Required for This Position 

• Must be self-motivated and able to keep up with ongoing projects. 

• Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, students, and other library patrons. 

• Must maintain a set schedule. 

• Requires minimal to moderate physical demands, including moving loaded book carts or dollies, standing on step stools, and stooping or sitting on the floor.
