Position: Race & Sports Bar Host/Cashier                                                             Department: R&S Sports Bar

It’s great to meet you!

Thanks for taking the time to learn more about the next generation of Station Casinos, a brand stemming from Frank Fertitta, Jr.’s inclusive spirit, forward-looking vision, and dedication to excellence. Sunset exists to give locals a place to go—a destination for people to feel welcome and at home, and we need some people to help make this a reality.

Interested? Then see why this role is important to us.

The Race & Sports Book Host serves as a primary point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient arrival and seating experience. The Host greets and assists guests, manages reservations and waitlists, coordinates seating based on availability and guest preferences, and communicates with the service team to support smooth guest flow throughout the Race & Sports Book. This role provides accurate wait-time and property information, responds to guest needs and special requests, and helps ensure a positive experience from arrival through departure.

If you are willing to take on this responsibility, then check out what you will be doing.

Most of the time, you will be:

• Greet all guests entering the Race & Sports Book in a warm, professional, and timely manner.

• Manage the seating chart and waitlist for the outlet, using the property booking platform to track reservations, table/seat availability, and guest wait times.

• Seat guests according to established rotation and seating procedures, balancing guest preferences with operational flow.

• Provide guests with accurate estimated wait times and communicate updates when seating is not immediately available.

• Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible while maintaining fair and efficient guest flow

• Serve as a liaison between guests, beverage team members, and management by communicating guest preferences, VIP information, and service needs.

• Communicate with beverage servers and bartenders regarding seating assignments, large parties, and VIP guests

• Monitor the entrance and seating area throughout the shift to ensure timely turnover and guest satisfaction.

• Answer guest questions regarding wait times, seating availability, and general property information, or direct guests to the appropriate resource.

• Maintain accurate records of guest counts, wait times, and seating activity as required.

• Notify management of any guest concerns, disputes, or service issues requiring escalation.

• Maintain a clean, organized host stand/entrance area.

• Adhere to all property, gaming, and alcohol service policies at all times.

But don’t worry—we will train you to be great at this!

What we can’t train is what’s inside of you.

Our values are essential to us, and we need them to be important to you, too. We look for people who are naturally kind, inclusive, forward-thinking, reliable, passionate, and self-aware. THESE ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE.

So far, so good, but just one or two more things.

In a perfect world, we would also like you to come with:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Prior experience as a host, hostess, or in a guest-facing hospitality role preferred.

• Ability to use a computer-based booking/reservation platform accurately and efficiently.

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

So, what do you think?  Is this you?  Then what are you waiting for?  Go ahead and fill out the application form.  And if not, no problem. We still think you’re great and hope to catch up soon!
