Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) -Pediatric Oncology

Job Shift: Nights

Job Type: Per Diem

The Registered Nurse, using critical thinking skills, coordinates and provides safe, quality care to patients in a family centered care environment, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.    Assists in organizing patient care activities as assigned.

• Assesses physical, psychosocial, educational and growth and development needs of the patient, recognizing family strengths and individuality.
• Develops a written plan of care using assessment data and utilizing the family centered approach.
• Implements nursing care plan.
• Evaluates patient's response to interventions.
• Demonstrates leadership skills

Education:

• Required: Graduate of Registered Nurse Program   

Experience:

• None

License:

• REGISTERED NURSE  

Certifications:

• BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)   
• PALS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) within 180 days for inexperienced),
• Completion of APHON course within 2 years of hire
