Housekeeping Clerk - Full Time (The LINQ LV)

Responsible for providing friendly, courteous service to guests/co-workers every time while completing their day to day tasks. Clerk is responsible for maintaining and updating housekeeping schedules on a daily basis, approving payroll and entering payroll discrepancies that may not have been entered within Timeworks, such as, training, new hire orientation, LOA, PTO, VAC, etc.   Clerk is also responsible for approving any PTO/VAC in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.  

• Ensures all payroll for housekeeping is approved in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures that all schedules for housekeeping are approved and posted timely and accurately.
• Treats guests and Team Members with courtesy and respect projecting proper etiquette at all times.
• Assists with administrative duties, as assigned.
• Must keep accurate records of all PTO/VAC, LOA, FMLA or any special requests.
• Prepare and obtain various reports from the department computer.
• Assist with filing on an as needed basis.
• Log all requests and submit to appropriate manager for approval as necessary.
• Log all sick calls or FMLA calls accurately.
• Distribute computer reports to the appropriate Team Members or departments.
• Assist with assigning keys when needed and ensure all keys are properly signed in and out.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and safe manner.
• Comply with all department policies/procedures and service guarantees.
• Attend all training classes as requested.
• Attend and participate in pre-shift department meetings.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English, with excellent customer service skills.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.  
• Ability to work with a telephone system/computer system.  
• Work requires a minimum of 1 year housekeeping experience.
• Requires attention to detail and the ability to logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work; take initiative.
• Must be able to get along well with Team Members.  Possess well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain alert throughout the duration of shift and remain calm during emergency situations.  Ability to maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift.
• Receive instructions and hear inquires from guests, clients, and staff.
• Work requires flexibility to work various shifts.
• Ability to make good sound judgment decisions regarding employees.  Must keep employee information confidential.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing and walking and sitting for the duration of the shift, as well as bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and ascending/descending stairs.
• Work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks under time constraints.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle sensitive staff and guest situations in a timely manner.
• May use a step stool to reach high areas; must climb stairs and continuously balance, bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Must frequently crouch, squat, push/pull, work overhead with both arms, and use hands for continuous grasping.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift furniture (e.g., mattresses, tables, chairs, lamps).
• Must be able to safely work with provided cleaning chemicals and with chemical fumes and smoke.  
• Must tolerate required PPE (gloves, safety glasses/goggles, etc.) and safely operate motorized equipment.  
• Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.
