An event crew member handles the physical logistics, setup, and teardown of event venues.
Types of tasks are dependent on production and crew position.
Types of positions available are: stage management, sound, light, projection and video operators, prop and stage crew.
Must complete training for designated position prior to filling crew assignments.
Good communication skills.
Attendance for all required rehearsals and performances per crew assignment.
Mandatory training for crew procedures, safe use and operation of tools, and equipment is to be completed prior to crew assignments.
Training is specific to assigned production positions and could include but not limited to the following: ladder usage and safely working from heights; operating soundboard, lighting board, lighting instruments, follow spot light, and video recording equipment; operating power tools, hand tools, and stationary saws.
Students must follow directions set by faculty advisors, production staff, and student stage managers.
