Pay: Starting @ $19.00 per hour + Shift Differential Schedule: 1st Shift; 70:00AM - 3:30PM - Monday - Friday 2nd Shift; 3:00PM - 11:30PM - Monday - Friday 3rd Shift; 11:00PM - 7:30AM - Sunday - Thursday What is the job: As a Production Operator at Avient, you'll set up and operate equipment to blend, mix, or transport chemicals that make up our customer products, ensuring high quality and cost efficiency. You'll also be responsible for machine maintenance, quality control, data recording, and supporting the company's vision and principles while adhering to safety and regulatory rules.

Sets up, starts and runs all machinery
Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specification and inserts into machinery, or ensures the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and inserts pre-blended materials into machinery
Monitors production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoots equipment and processing issues
Operates machinery to mix, extrude/discharge or handle materials
May take samples of materials to lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed
Performs all required machine cleaning
Documents work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc

• High School diploma, General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent training & experience • Work experience in an industrial operations environment preferred • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals • Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Must have the ability to use conversions, work with different units such as weight, volume, density, distance, etc. Physical Demands • Requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time, talking and listening • Must be able to walk and use hands. Occasionally requires bending, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs • May occasionally be required to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds • Ability to frequently communicate and understand work instructions and information in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where noise level is loud. • Must be able to detect and discern safety alarms and respond accordingly. • Generally requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, respiratory protection • Exposure to outside weather conditions is routine • May be exposed to working in extreme heat and humidity • May also be exposed on occasion to dust or fumes Ready to apply?
