Role Overview

The Senior Manager, AI Solutions & Platform Enablement is a senior individual contributor within Managed Services who helps move AI opportunities from business need to practical application. This role works across the Managed Services business lines leaders to connect business and client needs with the capabilities being developed across the firm.

The Senior Manager will help identify and prioritize use cases, develop business cases, coordinate execution, support adoption and measure value. The person will also participate in client pursuits and solution discussions where AI, automation and digital capabilities are part of the Managed Services value proposition.

This is not an enterprise AI strategy or technical architecture role. Success requires the ability to connect business priorities, client needs and technology capabilities and keep multiple initiatives moving in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

Managed Services AI Portfolio

• Work with MS business line leaders to understand priorities, operating challenges, and where AI and automation can create value
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases across finance and accounting, HR and payroll, technology and application support, and other MS capabilities
• Track active MS AI initiatives, pilots, platform capabilities, and dependencies
• Connect similar needs across business lines to encourage reuse over one-off solutions
• Support the MS AI roadmap with AI, Product, Platform, and Technology leadership

Business and Product Translation

• Translate business requirements and client needs into clear use cases, requirements, and expected outcomes
• Work with Product, Platform, Technology, and Innovation teams to move prioritized opportunities from concept through development, testing, and adoption
• Provide business context and operating requirements to technical and product teams
• Bring feedback from MS delivery teams and clients back to Product and Platform leaders to shape future capabilities and priorities
• Keep solutions practical for how MS teams actually operate

Client Solutions and Growth

• Participate in client discovery sessions, workshops, pursuits, and solution discussions
• Identify where AI, automation, data, and platform capabilities can strengthen an MS solution
• Support business cases, solution narratives, demos, and executive presentations
• Join internal deal reviews when AI or technology is a meaningful part of the proposed solution
• Translate technical capabilities into clear business outcomes and client value

Adoption and Value Realization

• Move capabilities beyond pilots into sustained use across MS
• Work with business line and delivery leaders on adoption, training, and integration into existing workflows
• Set practical measures for adoption, productivity, quality, client outcomes, and financial value
• Identify adoption barriers and coordinate with the right teams to resolve them
• Help leadership see which initiatives are generating value and where more investment or change is needed

Technology and Partner Ecosystem

• Coordinate with selected AI, automation, document intelligence, and technology partners supporting MS initiatives
• Work with Alliance, Product, and Platform leaders to track emerging vendor capabilities and roadmaps
• Evaluate technologies and partners on business relevance, scalability, integration, economics, and client value
• Support evaluation of strategic partnerships, investments, or acquisitions when appropriate

Cross Functional Collaboration

• Connect MS business lines with AI, Product, Platform, Technology, and Innovation teams
• Represent MS requirements and priorities in cross-functional discussions
• Build alignment on scope, priorities, ownership, and expected outcomes
• Influence across teams without relying on direct reporting lines
• Escalate decisions, risks, and dependencies to the right leaders when needed

Governance and Responsible Adoption

• Work with AI, Technology, Risk, Legal, and Security leaders to keep MS solutions within firm standards
• Build human review, controls, and escalation into AI-enabled workflows
• Bring governance requirements into solution design and adoption, not bolted on after the fact

Qualifications

• 8 years in consulting, professional services, technology, financial services, managed services, or a related environment
• Experience working across both business and technology teams
• Strong business acumen, able to connect technology opportunities to business outcomes and measurable value
• Experience supporting or leading complex cross-functional technology, product, automation, or digital initiatives
• Understands how products and technology capabilities move from idea through development, deployment, and adoption
• Experience with enterprise systems such as ERP, HRIS, CRM, workflow platforms, data platforms, or other core business applications
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
• Able to translate technical concepts into clear business language
• Manages multiple priorities and workstreams under changing conditions and incomplete information
• Strong influencing and relationship-management skills across senior business and technology stakeholders

Preferred Experience

• Working knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, RAG, APIs, AI agents, and agentic workflows
• Experience with automation, workflow, or intelligent document-processing technologies
• Exposure to finance and accounting, HR and payroll, or other back-office processes
• Experience within Managed Services, shared services, or business process operations
• Experience working with enterprise technology vendors and strategic alliances
• Exposure to evaluating potential technology partners, investments, or acquisitions

What Success Looks Like

Success is not measured by the number of AI pilots launched.

Success is measured by how effectively this role helps connect Managed Services business needs with Baker Tilly’s AI, Product and Platform capabilities and turns those opportunities into solutions that teams and clients actually use.

The Senior Manager helps ensure the right opportunities move forward, the right teams are connected, adoption occurs and the value created can be demonstrated through better productivity, quality, insight and client outcomes.

The pay range for this position is $138,100 to $216,400. This range represents a good-faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation the firm expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of relevant factors, including an applicant’s skills, experience, qualifications, professional certifications, work arrangements, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
