About the role

We’re looking for a Laboratory Trainer to help lift capability, consistency, and quality across our laboratory team. Based in Drury, this role is all about backing people to do work the right way, through practical training, coaching, and clear standards.

You will be responsible for managing and completing laboratory training, maintaining the training programme and competence register, and helping ensure our people are working in line with ISO 17025, IANZ requirements, and Health, Safety and Environmental procedures. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the Laboratory Manager, Supervisors and Technicians to build confidence, improve performance, and keep standards high.

About you

You will be an experienced laboratory professional who knows how to bring people with you. You’re confident coaching others, comfortable working across different testing areas, and serious about quality, safety, and getting the details right. You build strong working relationships, communicate clearly, and bring a low ego, team first approach.

You will also have strong record keeping skills, sound computer capability, and the ability to perform a majority of tests within the laboratory’s scope of accreditation. If you’re someone who values high standards, enjoys helping others grow, and likes finding better ways of doing things, you will fit right in.
