POSITION SPECIFICS

The Paulson Lab at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating stress erythropoiesis and inflammatory anemia.

Our research focuses on how inflammatory signaling and the hematopoietic microenvironment regulate erythroid progenitor development and recovery from anemia. Current projects examine interactions between erythroid progenitors, monocytes/macrophages, and inflammatory signaling pathways using mouse models of inflammatory anemia and complementary ex vivo approaches.

The successful candidate will have opportunities to develop independent projects and gain experience in hematopoiesis, immunology, erythroid biology, multicolor flow cytometry, primary cell culture, molecular assays, and in vivo mouse models.
