Clerk, AP II

JOB OVERVIEW

Under direction of a manager, enter invoices and resolve invoice issues with vendors and other internal departments in order to ensure payment in timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:

• Streamline, standardize and document AP processes.

• Process vendor invoices for payment and ensure that payment is made and received in a timely manner. Review vendor statements for missed payments as needed.

• Contact internal departments to resolve invoice problems as they arise; investigate discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders and contact appropriate department(s); contact warehouse to resolve invoice shortages or non-receipt.

• Contact vendors to resolve invoices with discrepancies or obtain copies of invoices.

• Reconcile travel expenses and corporate card, as assigned.

• Processing of checks and ACH, as assigned.

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• High School Degree required. 

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field preferred.

• At least 3 years Accounts Payable experience in high volume/complete transaction environment required.

• Excellent typing and 10 key by touch experience. 

• Strong proficiency in Excel and SAP is strongly preferred.

• Uses effective oral and written communication skills; delivers information in a clear and concise manner, listens and communicates effectively with others.

• Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks and duties as outlined above.
