Frontend/Web Developer

Frontend/Web Developer

Hey, we got your attention!

Thanks for checking us out! We’re hiring and looking for a talented Developer who is ready to contribute to a diverse portfolio of clients across North America.

A little about Konstruct…

• We are a B2B-focused digital marketing agency headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, but we have clients all over North America.
• We specialize in search, paid, and content marketing. And we’re damn good at all 3!
• We have a hybrid work model with three in-office days that fuel our collective pursuit of success. Champions aren’t made in isolation, and we’re serious about winning together.
• Unlike many other agencies, we’re serious about having a healthy work-life balance.
• We believe we can’t grow as a company unless we help you grow, and we are obsessive about both.
• We take our culture seriously. Nothing is more important to us than creating an environment where people can learn, grow, and have fun doing great work together. Thursday team lunches, anyone?
• We’re looking for curious self-starters who don’t settle for “good enough.” We sweat the details...every time!

A little about the role…

We’re looking for a Frontend/Web Developer to join our team - someone who’s excited to craft high-quality, responsive websites and grow alongside a team that’s always pushing forward.

Our dev team works across a modern and evolving stack. WordPress remains a big part of what we do, but we also work with Astro, Cloudflare Pages, and a range of platforms and tools depending on the project. We’re a team that embraces change, incorporates AI tools into our day-to-day work, and cares deeply about performance, detail, and results.

The Job:

• Build and maintain WordPress CMS client websites (front-end and back-end)
• Work across platforms including HubSpot, Squarespace, Shopify, and others as projects require
• Use page builders (primarily Divi 5) to craft beautiful, responsive layouts
• Develop, configure, and implement plugins, themes, and other web applications
• Contribute to Astro/Cloudflare Pages projects as part of our evolving stack
• Optimize websites for performance - image optimization, site speed, Core Web Vitals, and tools like NitroPack
• Integrate SEO, analytics, and performance tracking
• Work with version control (Git/GitHub) as part of a collaborative team workflow
• Quality assurance, testing, and technical problem-solving
• Project management and client communication
• Coordinate with our team of content specialists, designers, PPC strategists, account managers, and search specialists

A little about you…

You have a solid foundation in web development and a genuine interest in growing your skills. You understand the current state of WordPress development - page builders, modern tooling, and where things are headed - and you’re comfortable picking up new platforms and workflows as needed.

You care about performance and the details that make a site not just look good, but load fast, rank well, and work great for real users. You communicate clearly, work well with a team, and bring a solution-oriented mindset to whatever lands on your plate.

Candidates are ideally located in the Calgary area.

Your Experience & Skills:

• Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL
• Experience with WordPress CMS development - themes, plugins, customization, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with page builders, with Divi 5 being a strong asset
• Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub)
• Understanding of website performance optimization - image handling, Core Web Vitals, caching, and tools like NitroPack
• Knowledge of hosting and DNS fundamentals
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize under pressure
• Strong attention to detail, solution-oriented, and deadline-focused

Your Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of web development experience (we’re open to strong junior candidates)
• Experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Nice to have: Experience with Astro and Cloudflare Pages
• Nice to have: Experience building on HubSpot, Squarespace, or Shopify
• Nice to have: Familiarity with AI development tools, MCPs, or modern AI-assisted workflows
• Nice to have: Elementor development experience
• Nice to have: Laravel development experience

Job Perks:

• Salary range for this position is $50,000-$70,000 (subject to experience)
• Hybrid work environment
• Vacation and paid time off
• Extended health care
• Office games - foosball (fair warning: competition is fierce), ping pong, and shuffleboard
• Full kitchen stocked full of snacks
• Thursday team lunches
• Be part of a fast-growing team that is in it to win it!

Wow, you read all the way to the bottom, we love you already!
