We're looking for a driven, people-first and commercially minded Director of Sales to lead our Western Canada team and grow our business across the region.

About the Role

Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, you’ll lead JPC’s Western Canada sales team of Business Development Managers, Account Executives and Customer Success Managers.

Your mandate is growth: deepen relationships with existing clients, win new ones, and build a team that does the same. This is hands-on leadership. You’ll set the direction and coach the team, and you’ll be in front of clients yourself.

You’ll also partner with the Sales Director, Eastern Canada to deliver one consistent sales and service experience across the country.

What you'll do:

• Team Leadership. Build, coach and retain a high-performing Western sales team. You'll hold monthly Personal Improvement 1:1s with each team member, set SMART goals, model best-practice sales behaviour, and make sure the right people are in the right roles.
• Growth and Capital Deployment. Own regional results, from capital deployed and funded assets to the strength of the opportunity pipeline. You'll turn JPC's annual business plan into disciplined sales execution, in lockstep with the VP, Sales.
• Business Origination. Use your network and prospecting to open net new client relationships and find new commercial opportunities across Western Canada.
• Client Leadership and Retention. Be the senior point of contact for key regional clients. You'll engage directly to gather feedback, deepen relationships and reinforce JPC's value, and coach the team on proactive account management and renewals.
• Pricing and Returns. Partner with Credit and Operations so that pricing, deal structure and returns meet JPC's risk and performance standards.
• Forecasting and Pipeline. Own regional sales tracking and forecasting, with disciplined pipeline management and forecasts the business can rely on.
• CRM and Commercial Discipline. Make CRM the single source of truth for every client, so any team member can step in and help seamlessly. Turn performance data into action and support sales process improvements.
• National Consistency. Work with the Sales Director, Eastern Canada to deliver a consistent client experience from first conversation through renewal, coast to coast.
  

What we're looking for:

You have 5+ years leading high-performing B2B sales teams in commercial or industrial markets, with a record of exceeding targets and developing sales talent. Experience in fleet management, automotive or equipment finance, or specialty lending is a strong asset. A strong network across Western Canada is a plus.
