Bartender

Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional guest service in accordance with hotel standards. This position ensures proper beverage preparation, accurate cash handling, inventory control, and compliance with all food safety and responsible alcohol service regulations. The Bartender is expected to maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar while creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for guests.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 1–2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or high-volume bar environment.

• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage preparation techniques.

• Experience operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions.

• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and applicable regulations.

• Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and extended shifts based on operational needs.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6–8 hours or longer per shift.

• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting while performing bartending duties.

• Ability to lift and transport beverage cases, ice buckets, kegs, and bar supplies.

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for preparing beverages, handling glassware, and operating bar equipment.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with prolonged periods of physical activity.

• Must be able to perform essential job functions safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
