Our team of veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants provides compassionate care around the clock, from routine wellness visits to urgent and emergency cases.

About Us

At North Town Veterinary Hospital, we provide comprehensive veterinary care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our services include preventative care, vaccinations, spays and neuters, dental surgery, routine and emergency surgery, digital radiography, ultrasound, parasite testing and prevention, and onsite laboratory testing.

About the Role

As an RVT at North Town Veterinary Hospital, you’ll play an important role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring our patients receive high-quality care. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a varied caseload that includes both routine appointments and emergency cases.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients throughout their hospital stay.
• Assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Monitoring anesthesia and patient recovery.
• Performing and assisting with diagnostic procedures, including laboratory testing and imaging.
• Monitoring hospitalized patients and recognizing changes in their condition.
• Supporting emergency triage and patient stabilization.
• Educating clients on treatments, medications, and at-home care.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and following hospital protocols.
• Collaborating with veterinarians, fellow RVTs, and veterinary assistants to support excellent patient outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

• Registration as a Registered Veterinary Technician in Ontario, or eligibility for registration.
• A passion for patient care and a commitment to providing compassionate service.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and attentive in a fast-paced environment.
• A willingness to work a rotating schedule that may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays to support our 24-hour hospital.
