Full-time & Part-Time | 6:00AM- 2:00PM | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

What your evenings look like

• Greeting residents with a warm "good afternoon" and checking in on how their day went
• Helping with dinner, evening routines, and getting settled for bed, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care
• Getting to know each resident's care plan so the care you give feels personal
• Responding to call lights and requests for help quickly and calmly
• Noticing changes in residents and letting your supervisor know
• Keeping clear notes so the next shift knows exactly what's going on
• Joining in on evening activities and helping keep the neighborhood clean, safe, and comfortable

What you'll need

• 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of healthcare or senior care experience
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Dementia training
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check, health screening, and drug screen

About the role
The Resident Assistant provides direct care and support to residents under the supervision of the Resident Care Director, Supervisor-in-Charge, and/or licensed nursing staff. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care
• Supporting meals and snacks, including serving in the dining room and clearing tables
• Responding promptly to emergency call systems
• Observing, documenting, and reporting changes in residents' condition
• Maintaining care documentation in line with state regulations and Allegro Living policies
• Following safety, sanitation, infection control, residents' rights, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements
• Assisting with resident transportation when needed (valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and insurability may be required)
• Helping with light cleaning and laundry in resident rooms and common areas
• Attending required meetings and in-service trainings
• Communicating professionally with residents, families, coworkers, and visitors
• Other related duties as assigned

Certification and licensure requirements vary by state; CNA certification may be required in some states.
