Front Office Manager - White Elephant Nantucket

The Front Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of the Front Office, Bell Services, Concierge and Pool/Recreation staff in an attentive, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. 

As a leader, applicant must embody qualities that help him/her inspire our dynamic team while being open-minded, have self-awareness, be authentic and have positive interpersonal communication skills. 

Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a resort style hotel.   Candidate should be looking to grow within the organization, committing to a 5-year development plan.
  
  Other important aspects of this position include the ability to:

• Promote the professional growth and development of the entire Front Office team, with a focus on developing a seasonal management team
• Create a culture of positivity, focusing on people while ensuring maximum operational efficiency through appropriate scheduling and employee coaching
• Foster strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the team with other operational departments
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times
• Participate in company-wide initiatives
• Schedule and facilitate regular departmental training
• During seasonal closure, be prepared to work in a support capacity to other hotels and departments.

Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and have a great sense of humor. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office essential.
