About Orthodent Laboratory

Orthodent Laboratory (ODL), part of the Specialty Appliances family, is one of the nation's leading orthodontic laboratories, helping orthodontists create healthier, more confident smiles for patients across the country.

Every appliance we manufacture is custom-made for a specific patient using a combination of skilled craftsmanship, advanced technology, and precision manufacturing. From traditional orthodontic appliances to digital workflows, 3D printing, and CAD/CAM technologies, we're committed to delivering exceptional quality while continuously investing in innovation and our people.

Located in our modern production facility on Chandler Street in Buffalo, ODL offers a clean, bright, and comfortable work environment where employees receive paid, hands-on training and have opportunities to build rewarding, long-term careers.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working with their hands and take pride in producing high-quality work. No previous orthodontic or dental laboratory experience is required. We'll teach you everything you need to know through our paid, hands-on training program. If you enjoy learning new skills, working in a team environment, and creating products that genuinely improve people's lives, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Inspector, you are responsible for the final quality of finished orthodontic appliances. You will ensure that only functional quality products are released to our customers. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that no product will be sent to our customer that does not meet the doctor’s prescription, including special instructions, and Specialty Appliances’ internal quality requirements and standards. In this position, you will inspect the finished product to ensure that all requirements are met (both internal and external), document that the final inspection was performed, and then release to shipping. This position reports to the Quality Manager.

Every appliance you inspect is custom-made for an individual patient, making attention to detail and an eye for craftsmanship essential.
