About the Role

We’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships across multiple procurement categories in the UK and Europe, supporting our operations across 10 European markets.

Reporting to the Procurement and Supply Chain Director, you’ll work closely with Product Development, Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations to develop and source innovative products, transform our supplier landscape and deliver cost savings. You’ll also lead sourcing initiatives across indirect procurement, services and fleet, with a strong focus on sustainability, reducing carbon impact and improving the long-term value of our products and services.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans across multiple product and procurement categories.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, identifying opportunities to improve performance, value and collaboration.
• Partner with Product Development and Supply Chain to develop and source innovative products and alternative materials.
• Monitor market trends, product requirements and supplier developments to identify opportunities for improvement and change.
• Drive cost savings, process efficiencies and whole-life cost optimisation, including maintenance, spare parts and inventory.
• Lead sustainability initiatives, including increasing recycled material use, improving recyclability and reducing carbon impact.
• Develop supplier ESG goals and drive continuous improvement across procurement categories.
• Lead product end-of-life planning, identifying solutions to manage products responsibly at the end of their usable life.
• Prepare and present sourcing recommendations, agreeing implementation plans with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Support supplier negotiations and provide commercial input into contracts and terms and conditions.

Who are you?

• You have significant strategic sourcing experience, ideally seven or more years, with experience across multiple procurement categories.
• You have a track record of delivering measurable cost savings, process improvements and wider business benefits.
• You’re experienced in supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
• You can influence stakeholders and build strong relationships across complex, cross-functional environments.
• You’re commercially minded, with the ability to assess supplier markets, identify opportunities and develop effective sourcing strategies.
• You’re comfortable managing multiple complex projects and competing deadlines.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn market insights into practical recommendations.
• You’re interested in sustainability and understand the importance of responsible sourcing and reducing environmental impact.
• Experience in manufacturing or product sourcing would be beneficial.
• A degree and MCIPS or another relevant qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience with ERP, SAP or MRP II systems would be beneficial.
