Description
On-Air Morning Show Host - WIFC
WIFC - 95.5 FM | Full-Time | Wausau, WI
Make some noise, bring the energy, and own the morning in Central Wisconsin!
WIFC, 95.5 FM is Central Wisconsin’s home for contemporary hits, and we’re looking for our next on-air personality to bring the music, humor, and personality to the morning show.
At Midwest Communications, we believe great radio is live, local, and built around people who know how to connect. We want someone who can keep up with what’s trending, turn everyday moments into entertaining content, and bring the brand to life on the air, online, and out in the community. If you have a big personality, a passion for contemporary hit music, and ideas that go beyond the studio, this could be your perfect match.
Your Responsibilities:
- Host WIFC’s morning show live Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Bring the energy, quick wit, preparation, and creativity that make listeners want to start their day with you.
- Extend the show’s personality across social media, digital platforms, and video content. Give listeners more ways to connect with the people and the stations they love.
- Represent WIFC at station events, live broadcasts, and community appearances. Build genuine relationships with listeners.
- Work with local sponsors through endorsement opportunities and relationship-building that connect businesses with the audiences they want to reach.
- Bring fresh ideas, collaborate with your team, and look for new ways to make the brand even more engaging, memorable and keep the brand growing.
What We’re Looking For:
- Be a natural communicator- know how to tell a story, entertain an audience, and make people feel like they’re part of the conversation. Whether your background is traditional radio or digital content creation, you know how to capture attention and keep it.
- Have two or more years of experience in on-air broadcasting preferred. Audio/video presence and an established presence as a social media influencer are key.
- Be that relatable person that listeners can connect to; have a genuine appreciation for trending music, Midwest culture, and the communities we serve.
- Have a drive to create great radio content, grow an audience, strengthen the brand, and be part of a team that takes pride in their work.
- Have a valid Wisconsin’s driver’s license, the ability to pass a motor vehicle check, and satisfactory background check.
