VICE PRESIDENT, GROWTH

Description

AssureCare is hiring a Vice President of Growth to open and win enterprise relationships with health plans (commercial and government, including self-funded employers) and large pharmacy chains. Our customers are health plans and pharmacies, but we also connect with providers, because care runs through them, but providers are part of what we connect and not who you sell to.You will sell one connected system for care management, utilization management, medication management, analytics, and engagement, and you will help build the way we sell it. This is a role for a seller who likes to build: you will shape target lists, playbooks and proof points as you close deals, working directly with our executive team, Product and Marketing & Communications.

What You’ll Do

• Own a segment and a number. Carry a quota in your segment: commercial health plans and self-funded employers, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and state programs, or large retail and chain pharmacies. Build pipeline from first conversation to signature.
• Build executive relationships. Open doors with chief medical officers, Medicare Stars and quality leaders, pharmacy executives, CFOs and procurement leaders, and earn a seat at the table.
• Lead complex deals. Run multi-stakeholder, multi-year sales cycles, including RFPs, orals, security reviews and contracting, with Legal, Finance, Product and Client Services.
• Make the economics clear. Translate what we do into what each buyer is measured on: Star Ratings and quality bonus payments for Medicare Advantage plans, utilization and cost of care for commercial and government health plans, and clinical services revenue and adherence for pharmacy chains.
• Say it simply. Tell the AssureCare story in plain language that executives and technical teams can both repeat, using our messaging framework.
• Show it working. Lead demos and proofs of value, and bring customer proof, results and references into every pursuit.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

• Experience. 10+ years selling healthcare technology or services to health plans, self-funded employers or large pharmacy chains, with a record of closing complex, multi-year enterprise deals.
• Payer or pharmacy depth. You have sold into commercial or government health plans (Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, state programs), self-funded employers, or large retail and chain pharmacies, and you understand how those buyers decide, fund and measure.
• Executive relationships. Credible relationships with senior buyers in your segment, or a proven record of building them from scratch.
• Technology fluency. You can explain and defend a technology platform, including integrations, data, analytics and AI, and security reviews, with technical and clinical teams. You don't need to be an engineer.
• Builder mindset. You have built pipeline, playbooks or a segment inside a growing company, and you would rather shape the process than follow one.
• Plain communication. You explain complex ideas simply, in conversation and in writing.
• RFPs and contracting. You have led RFPs, orals and negotiations with procurement, Legal and Finance.
• Travel. Willingness to travel regularly to customers, prospects and industry events.
• Education. A bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience.
• Both sides of the market. Experience selling to payers and pharmacies, or working at a health plan, PBM or pharmacy chain.
• Domain depth. Medicare Stars and quality, medication therapy management, adherence, utilization or care management, state procurement, or outcomes-based and value-based contracting.
• Employers and administrators. Experience selling to self-funded employers or third-party administrators.
• Company stage. Experience building a commercial function in a company growing from early to mid stage.
• Tools. HubSpot or another CRM, used with discipline.
• Advanced education. An MBA, MHA, MPH or PharmD.

 Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000
