Job Description

We are seeking a technically skilled and proactive Kitchen Technician to ensure the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of kitchen equipment within an exclusive private members club. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive servicing. This role is essential in minimizing operational disruptions, maintaining equipment efficiency, and supporting the Culinary team in delivering uninterrupted service to the Club's members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, cooking ranges, dishwashers, refrigeration units, and food preparation machinery.

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related faults promptly to minimize operational downtime.

• Inspect, service, and maintain kitchen equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and established maintenance schedules.

• Respond efficiently to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance requests, prioritizing operational safety and continuity.

• Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, and Facilities teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting daily operations.

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment service histories, inspection records, and spare parts inventories.

• Liaise with external contractors and authorized service providers for specialized repairs, servicing, and equipment installations.

• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and preventive maintenance practices.

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, fire prevention, food safety, and applicable UAE health and safety regulations.

Desired Skill & Expertise

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related engineering discipline.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, preferably within premium hospitality, large-scale catering, or high-end dining environments.

• Strong technical knowledge of commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration systems, electrical components, and mechanical systems.

• Proven troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis capabilities with the ability to carry out effective repairs.

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems, equipment manuals, and digital maintenance management platforms.

• Sound understanding of workplace safety, equipment compliance, and safe maintenance procedures.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize urgent maintenance requirements.

• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with operational teams and external service providers.
