HOW YOUR SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED
Determination of how successful you are is a mix of WHAT you achieve, HOW you achieve it, and how you GROW over time.
Your Key Performance Indicators:
- On-Time Completion of Assigned Work
- Defect, Scrap, and Rework Rate
- Documentation and Data Entry Accuracy
- Labor Efficiency Against Standard Time
- Training Completion and Skill Competency Progression
- Attendance Reliability
Expected Competencies:
Attention to Detail
Consistently notices small flaws and deviations and checks work carefully while trimming, inspecting, and assembling under a microscope and while completing travelers and data entries. Defense and aerospace products have very little tolerance for error, so this behavior directly reduces defects, scrap, and rework and improves documentation and data entry accuracy.
Quality Commitment
Takes personal ownership of the quality of every unit handled, follows procedures exactly, and raises concerns or nonconformances immediately rather than passing them downstream. This supports the brand, policies, and procedures the role is expected to uphold and protects the Defect, Scrap, and Rework Rate and audit results.
Dependability
Reliably shows up on time, follows through on assigned tasks, and delivers what was promised without close oversight. Regular attendance and consistent follow-through keep production schedules on track and directly support Attendance Reliability and On-Time Delivery of Assigned Work.
Time Management and Prioritization
Organizes tasks, sequences work according to due dates and priorities, and maintains a steady pace without sacrificing quality. Technicians balance multiple orders, from prototypes to commercial production, so this behavior supports On-Time Delivery and Labor Efficiency Against Standard Time.
Learning Agility
Actively seeks out training, asks questions, applies feedback quickly, and builds capability through hands-on practice. As an entry-level role that is expected to grow into more complex work, this behavior drives Training Completion and Skill Competency Progression and gradually improves efficiency and quality.
Collaboration and Teamwork
Works cooperatively with engineers, other technicians, and cross-functional departments such as Manufacturing and Sales & Marketing, and helps out where needed. This keeps development timelines on schedule, supports process improvements, and contributes to team readiness and On-Time Delivery.
Clear and Timely Communication
Shares status updates, issues, and process observations accurately and promptly with supervisors, engineers, and teammates, and listens carefully to instructions. Clear communication prevents misunderstandings, limits errors and rework, and supports documentation accuracy and on-time delivery.
Composure and Focus Under Detail-Intensive Work
Maintains steady concentration, patience, and calm during repetitive, precise microscope-based work and when deadlines tighten. Sustained focus supports consistent quality, productivity against standard times, and low defect and rework rates.
