Cyber Analyst, Junior

In this role, you’ll use your skills in analyzing security log data and threat information to collect, assess, and produce actionable intelligence that supports routine cyber operations and incident handling. Using specialized tools and services, you’ll support and contribute to monitoring threat activity, identifying network anomalies, and researching routine security issues. You'll apply cutting-edge technologies to enhance our ability to process metadata and content for discovery, while developing your skills in creating intelligence products that strengthen the organization’s cyber defense posture.

You Have:   

• Experience analyzing cybersecurity risks, participating in hands-on academic lab environments, or completing cybersecurity internships

• Knowledge of threat monitoring technology, SIEM concepts, and basic networking principles such as TCP/IP, subnets, and standard ports

• Ability to research routine technical issues, learn new security tools under direct supervision, and document findings clearly

• Ability to provide a 1-2 page briefing that does not contain confidential information, showcasing a real‑world application of cyber skills or work

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science

Nice If You Have:   

• Experience with scripting or querying languages such as Python, Bash, or SQL used to process or analyze security logs

• Knowledge of common security frameworks such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework or NIST Special Publications

• Ability to collaborate effectively in team-based environments to escalate and resolve routine technical issues

• Top Secret clearance

• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field

• CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or Network+ Certification

Clearance:
