Warehouse Associate (Receiving)

General Responsibilities

Since 1983, Vehrs Distributing has been on a mission to create and deliver the finest premium wine and spirits portfolio in the Pacific Northwest. As we expand our offerings to include non-alcoholic beverages and reach more clients in the Western Washington region, we're looking for additional Warehouse Associates. This role involves receiving incoming shipments and properly storing them in the warehouse, as well as additional general warehouse duties. Receivers may also be asked to assist with picking and order preparation if required.

Essential Functions

• Unload and verify accuracy of incoming shipments
• Store product in appropriate bins
• Safely operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Safely handle glass containers with care to minimize loss.
• Perform inventory as required.
• Perform general cleaning of warehouse spaces.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• Reliable and dedicated attitude required.
• Experience with forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Competent with mobile devices, email, and basic computer applications.
• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Ability to stand/walk throughout the day.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to frequently bend, including while carrying weight.

Compensation

This is a full-time position that pays $23/hour.

• This position starts at 80 hours of paid vacation per year. Our tiered accrual schedule increases based on seniority, capping at 160 hours after six years of service.
• 10 days of paid sick leave per year
