Job Description:

Go one better than Four.

The industry is set to change. It’s time to get with a new kind of programme. One that leaves traditional graduate schemes behind. From the off, you’ll see a future you want to stay for. Because we don’t just recruit exceptional graduate talent. We turn trainees into leaders. We’re talking bigger opportunities, faster growth, and an experience designed to accelerate your career from the start.

Take the purple path

What investing in talent actually looks like

Powered by AI, driven by you

We are investing £500m in digital transformation.  Our leading AI tools drive efficiencies, handling time-consuming manual tasks, which means you can focus on higher-value work, faster. You’ll get experience and training to progress rapidly, earlier than graduates ever have before.

Powered by AI, you will spend more time on detailed analysis, professional judgement and the insights that genuinely add value for clients. You’ll be the one in control, reviewing and challenging the quality of AI inputs and outputs to ensure our clients continue to receive an exceptional service.

We're in the business of people, not just numbers. AI helps us work more efficiently, but it's our people who bring judgement, curiosity and care to every client relationship. As a trainee, you'll learn to use these tools while developing the human skills that will set you apart throughout your career.

Real responsibility. Real impact. Right from the start.

Advisory professionals are problem-solvers, strategists, and trusted partners. They help organisations navigate complex challenges, transform operations, and unlock growth. In this role, your insights won’t just support change – they’ll drive it, helping clients make confident decisions in an evolving business landscape.

At Grant Thornton, we’re looking for actively curious, purposefully driven, and candid but kind  individuals who want to shape the future of business – not follow it.

Our three-year advisory graduate programme is your launchpad to a meaningful career, a professional qualification, and a chance to make a real impact on businesses.

The Business Risk Services team helps clients identify, assess, and manage risks that could impact their strategic objectives. Within BRS, our Programme Risk and Assurance team focuses on the challenges that come with change – supporting our clients as they undertake complex transformation programmes which are enabled by digital system implementations to complex infrastructure construction. Our job is to help them successfully deliver their outcomes and manage the myriad risks that come with it.  We work with a wide range of organisations – from the public sector, large and listed corporates to Financial Service firms – giving independent assurance over how projects and programmes are governed, planned and delivered. You’ll gain exposure to diverse industries and develop a deep understanding of how businesses operate, while helping clients build trust and transparency in their operations.

What you’ll do

Who we’re looking for

We’ve got a flexible approach to academic entry requirements, and we’ll consider these alongside your strengths and motivations. We’re looking for people who want to contribute, spark fresh ideas, and go beyond expectations.

What we expect from you

As part of your training with us, you will be provided with study leave to support you with completing your professional qualification. Completing a professional qualification is a substantial commitment and it’s worth taking this into consideration before applying, as you will be required to study in your spare time outside of your working hours. You’ll also be provided with study leave in the run up to your exams. You’ll need to be focused, committed, and organise your time well to balance all the requirements of being a trainee.

We're growing fast, and we want you to grow with us. With digital-first innovation and a firm that's investing in its future leaders, this is your chance to shape what's next.

Follow the purple path.

It’s the start of something bigger.
