ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly strategic, data-driven Senior Manager, Sales Research & Ad Effectiveness to lead research, measurement, and attribution initiatives across our rapidly expanding Podcast & Audio Creator portfolio. In this role, you will own the development and execution of research strategies that translate complex listener data, audience intelligence, and campaign performance metrics into compelling, revenue-driving insights.

You will oversee the end-to-end measurement lifecycle, from developing sophisticated pre-campaign research strategies and high-impact RFP insights to leading advanced brand lift studies and attribution initiatives that demonstrate measurable ROI for major brand advertisers. As a key strategic partner to sales leadership, you will drive research innovation, manage external measurement partnerships, and establish best practices that strengthen our competitive positioning in the podcast advertising marketplace.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Pre-Sale Insights & Research Leadership

• Research Strategy & Audience Intelligence: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive research strategies, leveraging primary and syndicated research tools to uncover quantitative and qualitative audience insights that inform sales positioning and drive revenue growth.
• Strategic Pitch Development: Oversee the creation of compelling, data-driven presentations and research narratives that strengthen sales proposals, influence agency and advertiser decision-making, and drive new business opportunities.
• Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Direct high-priority research initiatives analyzing audience metrics, consumer behavior, competitive advertising spend, and emerging podcast marketplace trends to identify growth opportunities and inform commercial strategy.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with sales leadership and key stakeholders to establish research priorities, develop scalable insights solutions, and ensure research initiatives align with broader revenue and business objectives.

Campaign Measurement & Brand Lift

• End-to-End Measurement Leadership: Lead the strategy, execution, and evaluation of custom advertising effectiveness and brand lift studies for top-tier advertisers across automotive, CPG, technology, and entertainment.
• Strategic Vendor Management: Own and manage relationships with external measurement and attribution partners, overseeing research methodologies, sample collection, survey design, and quality assurance to ensure accurate, actionable results.
• Executive-Level Insight Delivery: Drive the development of sophisticated campaign performance analyses and executive-ready presentations, translating complex data into strategic recommendations and presenting findings directly to senior agency and advertiser stakeholders.
• Measurement Innovation: Evaluate and implement new research methodologies, measurement frameworks, and industry best practices to enhance the effectiveness, scalability, and competitive differentiation of RSV's advertising solutions.

Advanced Podcast Attribution & Performance

• Attribution Strategy & ROI Measurement: Lead the implementation and optimization of pixel- and IP-based attribution solutions to measure digital conversions, website traffic, purchase behavior, and overall advertising effectiveness across podcast campaigns.
• Performance Optimization: Oversee the analysis of multi-touch attribution and campaign performance data, delivering strategic, actionable recommendations that improve advertiser outcomes and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
• Measurement Expertise & Thought Leadership: Serve as a senior subject matter expert in podcast attribution and advertising effectiveness, guiding sales and marketing leadership on emerging measurement capabilities, industry developments, and opportunities to strengthen advertiser value.
• Operational Excellence: Establish and refine research processes, reporting standards, and measurement best practices to drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the Podcast & Audio Creator portfolio.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in media research, digital advertising effectiveness, audience measurement, or audio/podcast analytics, with demonstrated ownership of complex research initiatives and strategic measurement programs.
• Podcast & Audio Expertise: Deep expertise in the podcast and digital audio advertising landscape, including host-read advertising dynamics, RSS-feed distribution, streaming audio metrics, audience measurement, and emerging industry trends.
• Measurement & Analytics Expertise: Advanced experience leveraging digital audio and media research platforms such as Magellan AI, Podsights/Spotify Ad Analytics, Podtrac, Triton Digital, or MediaRadar to develop actionable insights and demonstrate advertising effectiveness.
• Research Strategy & Methodology: Proven ability to lead sophisticated research initiatives, including custom study design, survey methodology, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and the development of strategic measurement frameworks.
• Vendor & Partner Management: Demonstrated experience managing external research, brand lift, and attribution partners such as Veritonic, Arts AI, and Nielsen, with the ability to evaluate methodologies, oversee deliverables, and drive high-quality research outcomes.
• Strategic Leadership & Business Acumen: Strong ability to translate research findings into business strategies, influence senior stakeholders, and align measurement initiatives with commercial objectives and revenue growth opportunities.
• Technical & Communication Skills:
  • Expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced capabilities in data analysis, visualization, and executive-level reporting.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex datasets into clear, persuasive narratives that influence strategic decisions and drive business outcomes.
  • Executive-level presentation and communication skills, with demonstrated success presenting research findings and strategic recommendations to senior agency buyers, advertisers, and internal leadership.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple high-priority initiatives, establish strategic priorities, and deliver measurable results in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented leadership mindset, with the ability to navigate the entrepreneurial agility of a high-growth organization backed by the enterprise scale of Fox Corporation.

• Strong understanding of the broader digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic advertising, brand performance measurement, and advertiser ROI optimization.
