Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to define and implement sales and marketing strategies for ELDS Sales & Solutions business line in Switzerland. You will manage the marketing and sales action plans to achieve the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way. You will also ensure the project execution in order to guarantee a high level of customer satisfaction across the whole value chain. You will showcase your expertise by proactively leading, developing, and coaching all sales-relevant functions in Switzerland.

Location: Baden, Switzerland

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leadership: lead all sales-relevant functions of ABB Switzerland's medium voltage business, including regional sales, account management, tendering and quotations, product marketing, project management, and engineering, with functional responsibilities across marketing, communication and finance teams too. Directly oversee the team leaders across all functions listed above.
• Finance: manage complete P&L accountability, including order intake, revenue, costs, and cash flow for ELDS Switzerland (double-digit million CHF volume range).
• Customer segments: cultivate and maintain a broad spectrum of customer and market relationships across all levels, from installers to C-suite executives and political representatives in target segments including energy supply, data centers, infrastructure, renewable energy and BESS, and industrial sectors.
• Portfolio: direct medium voltage product portfolio spanning switchgear, protection and relay technology, secondary and primary switchgear systems, control systems, and integrated solutions.
• Organization: foster close collaboration across all ABB divisions and business lines. (low voltage technology, service) to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field; an advanced degree or business qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and/or sales-related functions. Good understanding of project management dynamics and ability to lead multi-functional teams.
• High adaptability to diverse customer needs and market dynamics, with a demonstrated track record in building durable client relationships across different levels and departments.
• Strong professional presence and excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience with cross-functional stakeholder management, including ability to lead and influence in global, matrix environments.
• Technical knowledge and background related to medium voltage products, electrical and industrial solutions or similar fields.
• Fluent in German/Swiss German and in English (written and spoken); French knowledge will be considered a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally and/or internationally if needed.
