About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Draughtsperson to join our growing Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) team in Tauranga.

This is much more than a drafting role. You'll be responsible for turning IFC Drawings, standards and project requirements into practical, buildable solutions for fabrication and installation across water, industrial and infrastructure projects.

You'll work closely with Project Engineers, the Workshop Manager, site teams and fabricators, supporting multiple projects at the same time. We're looking for someone who can confidently communicate using piping, fabrication and construction terminology, understands tie-ins and installation requirements, and can work with stakeholders across all stages of a project.

Success in this role requires excellent time management, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs.

For the right person, there is a pathway to become a technical leader within the team, helping mentor and develop junior CAD resources while focusing more of your time on design development, product innovation and technical solutions.

Why Join Our Team?

The M&E team is a unique part of Fulton Hogan.

We're a small, high-performing team within a large organisation, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact while benefiting from the resources and stability of one of New Zealand's leading infrastructure companies.

We've built a strong team culture based on collaboration, trust, technical excellence and continuous improvement. You'll be surrounded by experienced people who are passionate about what they do and committed to helping each other succeed.

With significant growth planned across the water, industrial and infrastructure sectors, there are multiple pathways available for ambitious people, whether your interests lie in design, product development, project engineering, technical leadership or business growth.

If you're looking for a role where you can work on challenging projects, develop your career and help shape the future of a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
