Come join Finning Canada, the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer!We are currently looking for a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Tisdale, SK team. In this position you will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of Caterpillar equipment.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
- Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes, and condition reporting)
- Interact with customers, product and sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Lead Hand on various tasks as required
- Verifying components due to CAT reusability guidelines
- Operation bench testing pieces
- Operation of engine dynos
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Certification (Heavy Equipment, Truck and Transport, Agriculture, Automotive)
- Apprentices will be considered based on experience
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
- Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset
- Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
- Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
- Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
- Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset
Important Notes:
- This position is based in Tisdale on a Monday - Friday Shift
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
