UHP is a veteran-focused education and leadership development organization based on a scenic 800-acre campus in Northwest Arkansas.

The UHP School of Health & Performance offers program tracks in personal training, health coaching, and culinary nutrition. At the UHP Skilled Trades Institute, students earn the certifications necessary to launch careers in high-demand trades. Leadership development is baked into every program.

We also work with a network of employer and industry partners to open career pathways for our graduates. While we can't guarantee employment, everything we do is designed to give service members and veterans a real path toward meaningful careers.

The Opportunity

For our students, graduating from UHP is not the finish line. The goal is to help them successfully take the next step into a meaningful career.

As a Student Outcomes Coordinator on UHP's Next Command team, you will work directly with students from their initial career conversations through career preparation, interviewing, employment, and post-graduation follow-up.

You will own an assigned group of students and become a trusted resource throughout their transition — helping them identify opportunities, prepare for employers, navigate the hiring process, overcome obstacles, and keep moving forward.

With new cohorts arriving throughout the year, this is a high-touch, fast-moving role for someone who is exceptionally organized, builds relationships quickly, and genuinely enjoys helping people succeed.

Career Navigation & Student Readiness

• Conduct Career Compass and outcomes conversations to understand each student's experience, goals, career interests, location preferences, and potential employer fit.

• Lead 1:1 career sessions focused on job targeting, resume and LinkedIn positioning, interview preparation, networking, and career navigation.

• Build and maintain Student Profiles that help connect students with relevant UHP employer partners.

• Deliver career-readiness sessions on recruiting, interviewing, LinkedIn, networking, and navigating the civilian hiring process.

• Build meaningful relationships with students throughout their time on campus and identify those who may need additional support.

Placement & Job-Search Support

• Own the active job-search process for assigned students through placement.

• Track applications, interviews, employer conversations, offers, compensation discussions, and barriers to employment.

• Prepare students for employer interviews and help them navigate opportunities as they progress.

• Coordinate interviews and placement activity with the Director of Next Command and UHP employer partners.

• Proactively engage students who are stalled or struggling and help develop a path forward.

• Ensure required placement and self-attestation documentation is completed accurately.

Post-Graduation Outcomes

• Maintain consistent contact with graduates who are still seeking employment and continue providing support through placement.

• Conduct scheduled post-placement follow-ups to understand employment status, retention, role alignment, and overall career progress.

• Capture student and employer feedback that can help UHP strengthen its programs and career preparation.

• Help ensure graduates continue to feel connected to UHP beyond their time on campus.

Outcomes Tracking & Program Support

• Maintain accurate, timely records of student activity, interviews, offers, placement status, and employment outcomes.

• Keep outcomes data current and audit-ready for departmental reporting, employer partnerships, leadership visibility, and compliance requirements.

• Support UHP SkillBridge Fellows and other veteran-transition initiatives through recurring career and placement touchpoints.

• Manage multiple overlapping cohorts and student timelines without allowing required follow-ups to fall through the cracks.

• Partner closely with the Director of Next Command and teams across UHP to connect student preparation with employer needs and long-term career outcomes.

• Students know exactly who to turn to for career and placement support.

• Every assigned student receives consistent, proactive engagement.

• Students enter the job market prepared to communicate their experience and compete for meaningful opportunities.

• Interviews, placements, and employment outcomes are accurately tracked.

• Students who begin to struggle are identified early and receive additional support.

• Graduates view UHP as a partner that stayed with them through their transition into their next career.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience in career services, workforce development, recruiting, talent acquisition, case management, student services, veteran transition, or a similar relationship-driven role.

• Exceptional organization and the ability to manage multiple people, priorities, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build trust.

• Confidence conducting structured conversations in person, by phone, video, and email.

• Strong follow-through and personal accountability.

• Comfort coaching individuals and presenting career-readiness information to groups.

• Disciplined documentation and recordkeeping habits.

• The ability to encourage and support people while also holding them accountable for taking action.

• Genuine respect for and commitment to veterans and transitioning service members.

Nice to Have

• Military service, military family experience, or experience supporting veterans and transitioning service members.

• Experience with CRM, case-management, or workforce systems; HubSpot experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with SkillBridge, VA education benefits, military transition programs, or veteran hiring initiatives.

• Recruiting, employer-partnership, or workforce-development experience.

• Experience in postsecondary education, workforce training, skilled trades, or human performance.

Schedule & Environment

This is a full-time, fully on-site position split between our campus in Gentry, AR and our corporate office in Bentonville, AR. Regular, in-person interaction with students is central to the role. The position primarily operates during standard business hours, with schedule flexibility required based on cohort schedules, student needs, employer activities, and occasional campus events.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $45,000 - $65,000, depending on experience, and skills
