Data Engineer - Biztory Belgium

Join Biztory’s elite data squad and trade the corporate grind for a high-impact role where you’ll untangle complex data silos using a world-class toolkit like Snowflake, dbt and many more.

We combine the agile, "get stuff done" energy of a small team with the massive stability of the Cronos Group, giving you the freedom to architect and build the future of AI and Data solutions.

Come help us bridge the gap between abstract vision and technical reality.

What Does The Party Look Like?

• The Tech: We are the elite squad for Snowflake, dbt, Salesforce Data360 and Tableau. If it’s cutting-edge and handles data at scale, it’s in our toolkit.

• The Best of Both Worlds: We operate with the agility of a small, eager team, backed by the massive footprint of the Cronos Group (€1bn+ ecosystem). You get the freedom to experiment with the safety net of a powerhouse.

• The "Get Stuff Done" Mentality: From our offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and the UK, we fix broken data, empower people, and win awards along the way.

• Total Transparency: We maintain a flat structure built on trust. Whether you’re into BBQ, tattoos, speed-running or video games, you’ll find your tribe here. We talk to anyone about anything—no gatekeeping, just growth.

Requirements

Your DNA

• The Problem Solver: You see a complex data silo and your first instinct is to map out a way to break it down. You’re driven by the "puzzle" and the satisfaction of a clean, elegant solution.
• The Architect: You’ll design and implement the modern data ecosystems, pipelines, lakes, and warehouses that serve as the backbone for our clients' AI and analytics goals.
• The Expert Guide: You don’t work in a vacuum. You take pride in gaining deep technical knowledge and, more importantly, sharing it. You’ll be a mentor to your peers and a trusted advisor to our clients.
• The Modern Stack Enthusiast: You are passionate about the tools that make data flow. Whether it’s building scalable pipelines or optimizing a warehouse, you aim for world-class delivery every time.

Your day-to-day

You aren't just "executing tasks", you’re owning the architecture that helps our clients win.

• Become the Trusted Advisor: You’re more than a dev; you’re a strategic partner. You’ll build deep relationships, guiding clients through the "Data + AI" maze with clarity and confidence.
• Untangle the chaos: You’ll solve high-stakes data puzzles, unifying fragmented sources into high-performance, centralized platforms.
• Bridge vision & reality: You’ll map abstract business goals to concrete technical components, scoping and delivering engagements with a solution-first attitude.
• Stay at the bleeding edge: Technology moves fast; you move faster. You’ll constantly experiment with the latest tools to advise clients on the most future-proof path.
• Roadmap the Future: You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to capture their immediate needs while building the long-term data roadmap.

Your Profile

We’re looking for someone who balances technical mastery with a consultant’s mindset and ideally has 2 or more years of relevant experience.

• The Engineering Core: You live and breathe data engineering best practices. You don't just build pipelines; you build robust, scalable systems.
• Clean-Code Fanatic: SQL and Python are your primary languages. You write code that is clean, versioned (via Git), maintainable, and something your future self (and our team) will actually enjoy reading.
• Cloud Native: You have hands-on experience navigating platforms like Snowflake, Azure, Databricks or AWS.
• The Power-Up toolkit: If you’re already comfortable with dbt, Docker, Terraform, or Python, you’ll hit the ground running. Experience with project management? That’s a massive plus.
• The Multi-lingual Professional: You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French.
• Local & Ready: You are currently living in Belgium or are open to relocate from within the EU.
