Join us and build a streaming platform used by millions.

At Sky Czech Republic, we’re building the tech backbone behind some of the world’s biggest streaming services. Ever heard of Peacock in the US or Sky Showtime across Europe, including the Czech Republic? They all run on our global streaming platform — a shared technological core where each service plugs in its own content and brand.

Our platform serves millions of users worldwide — Peacock alone reaches over 40 million viewers in the US. Thousands of engineers across the globe help shape it, and our Prague tech hub plays a key role. We don’t just keep things running; we actively push the boundaries of streaming technology together with teams in Lisbon, London, and New York.

In Prague, we work across a wide range of engineering domains: frontend development (mobile, TV, and web), backend (Java), platform engineering, content delivery networks, video playback (Golang), and data engineering (Python). Whatever your focus, you’ll work on technology used at truly global scale.

What role will you play?

As our Senior CDN Engineer, You’ll join the Content Delivery Engineering team within NBCUniversal’s Global Video Engineering organization. Your mission is to help deliver outstanding VOD, live event, and linear streaming experiences to millions of viewers across our US, UK, EU, and Africa services—including Peacock, SkyShowtime and NOW/WOW.

You’ll collaborate daily with colleagues and vendors across the US, UK, and beyond - excellent written and spoken English is essential. Our team specializes in large-scale Multi-Content Delivery Network design and operations, performance telemetry and analytics, selection & interfacing with content origins via multiple workflows, dynamic ad insertion, manifest manipulation and integrating new player technologies.

What You'll Do:

What skills do you need to play your role well?

How do you land the role?

We like to keep our recruitment process simple, transparent, and respectful:

What can you expect in return?
