Demi Chef de Partie - Commercial Baking

We’re looking for an organised, proactive Demi Chef de Partie to join our busy Central Kitchen team, preparing fresh grab-and-go products and café favourites to supply multiple cafés across our operation.

This role suits a chef who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of their section, and planning ahead. From handcrafted sandwiches and wraps to batch-cooked fillings and supporting pastry production, every day brings variety.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare fresh sandwiches, wraps, rolls, salads, savoury items, and other grab-and-go products.
• Batch-cook fillings and components, including roasted meats, chicken, eggs, bacon, sausage, vegetarian options, sauces, and spreads.
• Plan daily production to ensure cafés are stocked with the right products at the right time.
• Work with café teams to monitor stock, respond to demand, and balance product availability across locations.
• Follow recipes and production schedules to maintain consistent quality and presentation.
• Support bakery and pastry preparation as needed.
• Label, organise, and prepare products for café distribution.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, minimise waste, and maintain an efficient, organised kitchen.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a commercial kitchen, café, hotel, catering, or high-volume food preparation environment.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise and anticipate demand.
• Confidence working independently while contributing to a team.
• Batch cooking, café production, or high-volume food preparation experience is an asset.
• A passion for fresh, high-quality food and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and grow.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
