Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications, Culture & Employee Engagement
- Strategic Internal Communications: Develop and execute an internal communication strategy that keeps all staff informed, valued, and aligned with BACR’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
- Cascading Communication Systems: Design and implement clear procedures, norms, and processes to ensure leadership updates, policies, and strategic decisions flow thoughtfully and consistently from the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to all staff.
- Intranet & Community Management: Serve as the primary "Community Manager" for Intranet (Workvivo), leveraging the platform to celebrate employee achievements, reinforce shared culture, boost morale, and foster a strong sense of community across all sites.
- Unified Internal Brand: Ensure a consistent look, feel, and tone across all internal channels, newsletters, and announcements so employees experience a cohesive, professional brand identity.
- Leadership Connection & Transparency: Bridge the gap between senior management and staff by creating opportunities for open dialogue, transparent updates, and meaningful two-way engagement (e.g., All-Staff meetings, Q&As, leadership messages).
- Culture & Policy Framing: Collaborate closely with People & Culture, Finance, and Senior Leadership to craft thoughtful, inclusive messaging around key organizational initiatives, policy updates, and official positions on topical/social issues.
External Presence, Brand Strategy & Visibility
- Elevating BACR’s External Presence: Lead initiatives aligned with Strategic Plan Goal 7 ("Elevate our brand and external presence to increase our influence and impact") to showcase BACR’s community impact and broaden its reach.
- Brand Architecture Strategy: Serve as a thought partner to leadership on BACR’s overall positioning—helping determine the strategic balance between elevating the core BACR brand versus supporting individual program identities (House of Brands vs. Branded House).
- Multi-Channel Media Management: Oversee the updates of BACR’s websites, social media accounts, annual reports, and organizational profiles (e.g., GuideStar) to ensure brand consistency, visual alignment, and engaging storytelling.
- CEO & Executive Visibility: Coordinate executive visibility strategies, including preparing the CEO and SLT for conference presentations, community events, key external appearances, and org-wide announcements.
