5. Functional Excellence — Cleaning and Presentation

You keep our club feeling fresh, clean and member-ready by taking ownership of deep cleaning, routine checks and quick responses to presentation issues throughout the day.

Key accountabilities include: 

• Maintain high presentation and cleanliness standards across all member areas, including changerooms, toilets, showers, gym floor, studios, pool surrounds (if applicable) and shared spaces.

• Perform routine hands-on cleaning duties, including cleaning and sanitising toilets, basins, showers, mirrors, benches, floors, touchpoints and other surfaces.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe down and spot-clean floors, equipment and surfaces throughout the shift as required.

• Safely use approved cleaning chemicals, products and equipment in accordance with training, instructions and safety procedures.

• Remove rubbish, replace bin liners and maintain clean and hygienic waste disposal areas.

• Respond promptly to spills, mess, bodily fluids and other hygiene or presentation issues, following the appropriate cleaning and safety procedures.

• Complete scheduled cleaning, deep-cleaning and reset routines consistently and to the required standard.

• Support smooth class changeovers by cleaning, resetting and preparing studios, equipment and shared spaces so they are ready and on time for the next session.

• Proactively identify and action cleaning, maintenance and presentation issues before they impact the member experience.

• Follow all chemical handling, PPE, hygiene, safety and operational procedures.

• Work efficiently across each shift to maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the day.

• Take pride in the details — noticing what others might miss and taking action without needing to be asked.

• Work closely with all departments to maintain a clean, safe and well-presented environment and support a seamless member experience.

To land this gig… and your ongoing mindset

• You have >1 year of relevant experience and flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule.

• You have aligned experience. You know what it’s like to work with a high-profile consumer brand and thrive on keeping environments immaculate and operations running like clockwork. You may also have some experience in cleaning, housekeeping or maintaining high presentation standards in fast-paced environments. A+ for you.

• You’re pure heart. You show up with care, kindness and respect. You treat members and teammates well, stay calm under pressure and help create a positive environment for everyone around you.
