Role Overview

Sewell Advisory is the consultancy division of Sewell Group and an industry leader in strategic estates advice, development and project management, and operational property support for clients across the UK.

This role is designed for a graduate who has completed, or is close to completing, a RICS-accredited degree and wants to build a career as a chartered surveyor. You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team, gain structured experience against the relevant RICS competencies and work towards the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), with the aim of achieving MRICS chartered status.

Our customers are predominantly in the health, education and wider public sectors. We help organisations make informed decisions about their land, buildings and estates, including strategy, options appraisal, business cases, development, project delivery and operational property matters.

Role Responsibilities

From the outset, the Graduate Consultant will have the opportunity to contribute to client-facing property and estates commissions, supported by experienced colleagues. The successful candidate will agree a structured APC development plan with their counsellor or supervisor, gaining the experience needed to progress towards chartership. This will include maintaining experience and continuing professional development records, gathering evidence of competence and preparing for RICS assessments.

The role is well suited to someone who is proactive, keen to learn and committed to taking an active role in their own professional development, seeking feedback and applying new knowledge in their day-to-day work.
