The Opportunity

We’re looking for new Geomatics graduates who want to be outdoors, on active project sites, and learning by doing. This opportunity is intended for candidates who are available to start in May/summer 2027, or after graduation. As a Geomatics (Survey) New Graduate at McElhanney, you’ll gain hands-on experience across field and office environments, working on real projects alongside experienced professionals in Northern BC.

You’ll be exposed to a wide range of Land Surveying and geomatics work, using industry‑leading technology while building practical skills quickly. This is a field‑heavy, physically active role that suits people who enjoy variety, travel, and responsibility early in their career. If you’re adaptable, outdoorsy, and ready to launch your career in a practical, fast‑paced environment we want to hear from you.

Our team fosters a welcoming environment that encourages learning, growth, and building meaningful relationships. More importantly, we’ve cultivated a fun and inclusive culture, making McElhanney a workplace where our staff often choose to build long-term careers after graduation. Additionally, we’ve created programs to nurture the growth of future leaders. We’re proud of our reputation for developing talent and maintaining a positive, friendly, and rewarding work environment.
