Courtyard Pittsburgh Airport is hiring for an Operations Manager.
You should join our team if you believe...
- That exceptional hotel operations begin with visible leadership, thoughtful planning, and genuine care for both guests and Curators.
- That great leaders do more than manage tasks—they coach, communicate, and create confidence within their teams.
- That every department plays an important role in delivering a seamless guest experience.
- That operational excellence lives in the details, from room readiness and accurate billing to cleanliness, service, and safety.
- That guest concerns are opportunities to listen, respond thoughtfully, and rebuild confidence.
- That strong communication between Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Bistro, Sales, and leadership keeps the hotel running smoothly.
- That even the busiest hotel day can be handled with calm leadership, clear priorities, and a little personality.
You’re a great fit for this role if you love...
- Supporting the General Manager with the hotel’s daily operations and overall guest experience.
- Leading, coaching, and supporting Curators across Front Office, Housekeeping, Bistro, and other operational areas.
- Maintaining a visible presence throughout the hotel and stepping in wherever the team needs support.
- Monitoring arrivals, departures, room readiness, occupancy, staffing, and daily operational priorities.
- Partnering with Housekeeping to prioritize rooms, special requests, VIP accommodations, and maintenance needs.
- Supporting Front Desk operations, including reservations, check-ins, checkouts, billing, payment transactions, and guest concerns.
- Helping oversee Bistro operations, food-and-beverage service, sanitation, inventory, and brand standards.
- Preparing schedules and adjusting staffing according to occupancy, business levels, and operational needs.
- Training Curators on service expectations, brand standards, hotel systems, safety procedures, and departmental processes.
- Reviewing guest feedback and responding with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
- Monitoring labor, expenses, supplies, cash handling, and operational controls.
- Completing inspections and following up on cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and quality concerns.
- Communicating important information across departments and shifts so Curators are prepared and guests receive consistent service.
- Jumping in to assist with check-ins, guest requests, room inspections, Bistro service, or the tiny tornadoes that come with a busy hotel day.
- Recognizing great work while coaching performance concerns clearly, fairly, and consistently.
- Serving as the manager on duty and responding appropriately to operational issues and emergencies.
We’re excited to have you join us because...
- You understand how Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance work together to shape the guest experience.
- You know how to balance guest satisfaction, team support, operational needs, and financial responsibility.
- You provide clear direction while remaining approachable, helpful, and calm under pressure.
- You communicate confidently and professionally with guests, Curators, leaders, vendors, and other departments.
- You are comfortable handling complex guest concerns and making thoughtful service-recovery decisions.
- You can organize schedules, assignments, and priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- You know how to coach in the moment, follow up on expectations, and hold Curators accountable.
- You are comfortable reviewing reports, identifying trends, and following through on operational concerns.
- You bring dependability, good judgment, and a service-first mindset to every shift.
- You believe leadership means being present for the team—not simply managing from an office.
