A Day in the Life

As a Collision Repair Estimator, you'll be the primary point of contact for customers throughout the repair process, helping deliver an outstanding customer experience from initial inspection to vehicle delivery. Your day begins by greeting customers, inspecting damaged vehicles, documenting damage, and preparing accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software.

You'll communicate regularly with customers, insurance adjusters, technicians, and parts personnel to ensure repairs are properly authorized, parts are available, and work progresses efficiently. As repairs move forward, you'll review supplements, update estimates when additional damage is discovered, and keep customers informed about repair timelines.

Throughout the day, you'll participate in production meetings, coordinate with the repair team to maintain workflow, and help achieve key performance indicators related to cycle time, estimate accuracy, and customer satisfaction. By maintaining detailed documentation, following OEM repair procedures, and ensuring every estimate is complete and accurate, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality repairs while creating a positive experience for every customer.
