• 1. Consistently performs patient care activities according to the clinical standards of Montefiore Nyack ASC MRI DI Areas. 2. Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and performs data entry related to patient information. 3. Follows all related MRI Safety measures as per the 2024 ACR manual on MRI Safety including all processes and protocols to keep patients, families, employees and self safe in the MRI environment. 4. Greets and directs patient to waiting area and notifies modality of patient's arrival. Monitors waiting area to prevent delays in service and notify Supervision when needed. 5. Notifies appropriate personnel of changes in patient condition and/or emergent/urgent situations; initiates emergency interventions (BLS/Heartsaver) as appropriate. 6. Is proficient and performs general phlebotomy and line insertion 7. Follows established MRI safety related policies and procedures to ensure patient safety by demonstrating appropriate use of MRI Safe wheelchairs, stretchers and MR safe patient handling. 8. Gives hand-off and receives hand-off to RT and other colleagues, at change of shifts and before leaving the unit. 9. Demonstrates safe practice and complies with all policies, procedures and protocols concerning Infection Control, hand hygiene and all aspects of patient related care. 10. Responds appropriately to requests from co-workers and other departments. Treats patients, visitors, physicians and other employees with courtesy, respect and caring behavior. Consistently displays a positive demeanor. 11. Resolves issues one-on-one when possible; consults with Manager/Coordinator/Director, as applicable, for help with conflict resolution 12. Demonstrates competency in care of age-specific patient population. 13. Facilitates the preparation of patients for examinations 14. Verifies patient identification using two identifiers 15. Instructs patient on gowning and security of personal belongings 16. Provides basic exam education to patient, referring clinical questions to technologists 17. Assists technologists during procedure as needed and instructed including moving patients and obtaining supplies and equipment 18. Assists in transferring patients in and out of procedures rooms, as required 19. Assists technologist upon completion of exam 20. Maintains basic supply levels in order to provide optimal patient care 21. Keeps areas clean and orderly using proper cleaning techniques 22. Sets up supplies as requested by technologist 23. Stocks changing rooms and blanket warmers daily and as needed 24. Confirms patient flow stays in contact with patients regarding appointment times 25. Performs other related functions 26. Assists in restocking, folding linen & patient gowns, discarding soiled linen and other unit specific ancillary tasks.

• C. BUDGET: 1. Demonstrates fiscally prudent use of equipment and supplies. 2. Utilizes charge process for supplies/equipment.
• D. PROJECTS/ASSIGNMENTS: 1. Completes projects/assignments within projected time frames and expectations. 2. Participates in committees and task forces as requested. 3. Performs other duties as assigned within classification. 4. Assists with the orientation process for new hires.

• High School Required or
• GED Required and
• Certificate Successful completion of a nursing/ medical assistant training program Preferred
• 1-3 years Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Medical Assistant Preferred
• Interpersonal and Communication skills Upon Hire Required
• BLS Certification (AHA) Upon Hire Required
