About Mulberry Bush Corner School

In response to an unprecedented and growing incidence of social, emotional and mental health issues in young people and adults, we work across a wide range of sectors including special and mainstream education, children’s homes and youth and criminal justice – not only providing education and holistic therapeutic support, but also training, consultancy, insight and thought leadership.

Our approach is founded on nearly 80 years of therapeutic practice and an innovative mindset that looks to the future to ensure we meet the needs of the people we serve and enable them to make the change they need.

The Corner School is part of the Mulberry Bush organisation. The Corner School is a small, specialist day school for primary-aged children with SEMH needs. We provide a safe, nurturing environment with small classes, high staff ratios and a trauma-informed, sensory-aware approach. Our curriculum is imaginative and personalised, helping each child grow in confidence, build meaningful relationships and feel proud of their progress.

About the role

As a Teacher at the Mulberry Bush Corner School, you’ll play a key role in our close-knit school community, supporting a small group of children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a really meaningful opportunity to make a difference every day, helping children overcome barriers to learning and build confidence in themselves.

You’ll plan, teach and assess learning for up to 6 children in your class, working closely with your class team, other teachers and the School Leadership Team. You’ll also guide and support your class-based staff team, creating a calm, structured and nurturing environment where children can feel safe and ready to learn.

The current vacancy is for a class of pupils in Years 3 & 4, who are all new to the school this academic year. There are currently 4 pupils in the class, but this could rise to a maximum of 6. We are looking for an experienced teacher who can join the positive, energetic, experienced team currently supporting this class. The position is currently vacant so we are particularly interested in hearing from teachers who would be available to take up the role in January 2027 or sooner, but will consider applications from the right candidate for a later start date.
