HR Generalist (L&D Focus)

In order to support our rapid growth we are seeking to hire a HR Generalist (L&D Focus).

The job holder also supports the smooth operation of the hotel by providing comprehensive human resource services in various tasks, such as recruitment, hiring processes, onboarding, training, health & safety, and housing.

The HR Generalist (Learning & Development Focus) is responsible for supporting the learning, development, and engagement of employees by coordinating, administering, and continuously improving the hotel's training and development initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Group's values and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in candidate sourcing and coordination of interviews.
• Ensure the collection of any necessary hiring documents.
• Manage onboarding processes, and induction programs, ensuring new hires are equipped with necessary resources, as well as a smooth integration into the company culture and operational standards.
• Coordinate the annual Training Plan in collaboration with Department Heads and the HR Manager.
• Encourage continuous learning by promoting participation in development initiatives and supporting a positive learning environment throughout all departments.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback and operational observations.
• Support the implementation of the annual training strategy.
• Liaise with internal trainers and external training providers to ensure the effective delivery of learning initiatives.
• Prepare training calendars, invitations, attendance lists and all related learning documentation.
• Maintain accurate training records, learning matrices and employee training files.
• Manage employee housing and ensure the efficient operation of accommodation facilities.
• Perform periodic audits for safety, Security and state of repair of the staff accommodation facilities.
• Manage employee restaurant’s efficient operation and standards.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, ensuring fair and professional resolutions.
• Maintain up-to-date employee records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and hotel policies.
• Oversee the scheduling of doctor visits and ensure the completion of the medical examinations.
• Coordinate, review and execute all employee reward activities.
• Support performance review cycles and coordinating development plans where required.
• Participate in employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs and internal communication activities.
• Contribute to any special HR initiatives and events.
• Generate HR-related and Learning & Development reports and metrics as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, with significant exposure to Learning & Development, Training Coordination or Talent Development.
• Experience in coordinating training programs and employee development initiatives.
• Good understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
• Knowledge of labor legislation and HR best practices will be considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Empathy and emotional intelligence to handle employee relations.
